At the end of every summer before school starts, my son and I pack our backpacks with our gear, delicious food and lots of water and head to Sidney Spit Island for a couple of days of doing pretty much nothing. Days are spent playing on the beach, reading books and chilling in the summer sun. Evenings end with glorious sunsets over the water, as the stillness and quiet prepares us for the busy fall ahead of us. Day's End was shot during one of these magical evenings as the sky's brilliant colours reflected in the still water of the lagoon.
