Calm Waters was captured during one of our kayaking adventures on northern Vancouver Island. One of our favourite kayaking destinations, northern Vancouver Island provides stunning landscapes and spectacular wildlife.
While beautiful, the ocean can be moody and temperamental and one can never completely relax when paddling her waters. Often the waters of Johnstone Strait off the north-eastern edge of Vancouver Island near Telegraph Cove can be rough and windy with a strong current. On this particular afternoon, the seas were calm and still until after we pulled ashore for the evening.
